Spike the Jack Russell Terrier

This is Hattie, who I thought of when writing about Spike. Do you have a picture of a Jack Russell Terrier or a dog who might have travelled with Natalie through France and Spain? When I was choosing a dog I stopped many unsuspecting dog owners in the street and took photos of their dogs. I could have used anyone of them. If you have a small dog and a copy of my book, see if you can get a picture of your pet and the book, or your pet and your book and link it to the page.If you have a book staring a dog It would be fun to know about it.

It’s at times like these you realise that you are a better writer than photographer, but the dog and the book are there.

You can send a tweet to @brendahSedgwick with a photo. The pictures can be tranfered to my facebook and shared.

Venus de Milo

Look up Venus de Milo  It’s fun if you haven’t seen this sculpture before and if you have it is worth a another visit.  In fact Paris should be on everyone’s travel list always. I love Le Louvre, staring at this sculpture again and writing her into my book. If you would like to travel the journey of Natalie this is a great place to be.
Natalie stared at this goddess of love and wanted her to touch her life. She did, but not in the way she expected.
Marriage a Journey and a Dog is in the printing stage now and I will update this blog as soon as it is available. A new ebook will soon be on all ebook platforms.
Strange how you write a book and wonder if it will sell. Now the orders are happening, I just want to know that readers enjoy it.
Looking up the artistic places mentioned, traveling through France and Spain and oddly enough, wearing turquoise to reading clubs are adding to the fun of the reading experience.

Spike The Dog

Marriage, A Journey and A Dog

Spike the Dog in Marriage Journey and A dog
Spike the dog, is on the book cover, (see blog 1) She is really Hattie a girl, A remarkable animal who jumps around all over the place. There is great freedom for a dog like her at the farm where she lives. Hattie has a joto do, looking afteEnzo, an old Weimaraner who is completely blind. Where Hattie goes, Enzo follows. As you can see, Hattie is very much alive. Not like poor Spike in the book. Every book needs an animal, at least mine do.
If you would like to create a discussion the place to do it is on the forum page on Amazon where the book is.
Can’t wait to finish the cover for my  paperback book, but we are in Sri Lanka now and it has to wait. The photo I want is on the…

When I’m not travelling

Dog at my house

Sri Lanka has become our second home, but the U.K is still home. It is where the family live and we enjoy our own house. In Sri Lanka we rent and the standard of comfort is not the same. An interesting challenge at times.

In the U.K the animal minding continues and so does does the child minding. Travelling is on hold until the new family additions grow up a bit. A quick trip to Paris was fun, and a week in Provence. I love France!

It is easy to write about a place you enjoy. I can relive the pleasure of beautiful places and they carry me along with my characters.

Right now, dog minding, while my children are away on holiday. I’m not a lover of domesticated animals, but argue they thrive with me as I am very practical and don’t spoil them.

Dogs have joined my factual life and my writing, even though I tell them to go away.
